It accommodates 10 DNM frames in a cold-way arrangement. This makes it suitable for both beginners and experienced beekeepers who value comfortable work at the apiary and optimal conditions for their bee colonies.

Lightweight and Dimensionally Stable Paulownia Wood

The body is made of 20 mm thick Paulownia wood. This proven material is particularly valued in hive construction for its low weight. Even with full honey combs, the body is easier to lift and transport. At the same time, Paulownia wood offers good thermal insulation properties, is dimensionally stable, and has very little tendency to warp. Multiple glued joints additionally increase the structural strength. To protect against weathering, we recommend treating the wood with a protective finish suitable for beehives before first use.

Proven Design Based on Dr. Liebig

The body is based on the proven hive concept developed by Dr. Liebig, which focuses on functionality, ease of use, and the needs of the bee colony. Sturdy rebated corner joints provide the necessary strength. Two battens on the underside prevent the stacked bodies from accidentally shifting. Side-mounted hand grips allow for safe and comfortable carrying.

Stainless Steel Runners for Comfortable Frame Handling

The integrated stainless steel runners facilitate regular work with the bee colony. On the smooth surface, significantly less propolis can build up on the frame rest areas. This makes it easier to remove, slide, and reinsert the frames. At the same time, the runners protect the wood from mechanical wear and damage caused by the hive tool.

Delivered Unassembled for Safe Transport

The body is delivered unassembled. This allows for space-saving storage and reduces the risk of transport damage. Precisely manufactured joints enable quick and easy assembly. The required fastening materials are included in the delivery.
